- What is the author's claim(s) and how does she organize her article and use rhetorical devices to present, explain and support it/them?
Read and annotate using annotation guide/types of evidence
Chunk the text- divide it into sections by what the author "does"- think introduction, shifts, claims, types of evidence, rhetorical devices, conclusion (saying and doing)
